On My Silver Skin by Juli Sando is an installation that questions what is excluded from our memory or public language and shows how even that which seems destined to disappear can instead persist.
Through a layering of images, sounds, texts, and materials, the work constructs an environment to traverse. The engraved metal plates, laid out on the floor, slowly reveal words that emerge only in the reflection of light; the videos weave together autobiographical elements, mythological references, and traces of the contemporary, beginning with the image of an eclipse—a moment in which the visible and invisible overlap; the wax sculptures, suspended in space, introduce a fragile and transient dimension.
Only through the movement and gaze of the audience does that which is hidden, forgotten, censored, or removed slowly return to visibility.

Careof is a non-profit organization for contemporary art based in Milan, within the Fabbrica del Vapore. Founded in 1987, it fosters creativity and artistic experimentation in all its forms. It is an independent space, a point of reference, and a place of inspiration and dialogue for artists and researchers.
Careof is a fluid and dynamic space that encourages research and supports cultural production through exhibitions, screenings, workshops, conferences, and hybrid projects. Thanks to its exhibition space, library, Photographic Archive, and Video Archive—one of the most important collections in Italy from the 1970s to the present, with over 9,000 titles, constantly expanding and recognized by the Ministry of Culture as of national historical interest—Careof promotes and preserves contemporary artistic practices.
Careof is a center for production and research in time-based media: it produces, exhibits, catalogs, preserves, and promotes works related to moving images, within a framework of circular valorization.
